Looking for a pristine, highly organised workshop environment in the Western Suburbs?
Tired of heavy, dirty field maintenance and looking for clean, precision assembly work?
Do you take immense pride in your craftsmanship, and can work to strict mining-spec tolerances?
Want a permanent, stable day-shift role that genuinely respects your work-life balance?
If you are a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter who thrives on precision, layout execution, and high-quality assembly, this is your next career move. Our client is a rapidly growing, premier original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specialising in high-end industrial fluid systems, dewatering packages, and heavy-duty custom skid builds for the Australian mining and resources sectors.
Following a major growth phase, they are expanding their state-of-the-art facility and seeking a detail-driven Fitter to join their tight-knit production team.
Forget dirty, chaotic grease-pits or frantic breakdown environments. This is a highly structured, clean, and modern workshop position. You will be responsible for taking raw fabricated skids and heavy mechanical components, executing the build process from the ground up to strict tier-one mining regulations.
Because our client services the mining sector, the tolerances are incredibly tight. We are looking for an operator who treats their work like an art form—ensuring every hose, sensor, and bolt-pattern is flawlessly aligned and secured.
Operating on a stable, permanent Monday-to-Friday day shift, your core assembly responsibilities will include:
OEM Mechanical Alignment: Couple heavy-duty industrial pumps directly to diesel and electric engines, ensuring exact shafts, tolerances, and coupling alignments.
Fluid & Hydro Systems: Run, mount, and secure complex hydraulic hoses, fuel lines, pressure gauges, pipework networks, and electrical automation sensors.
Skid Integration: Mount completed machinery packages onto custom-fabricated structural skids, trailers, and specialized pontoons.
Quality & Compliance: Work directly from engineering drawings to ensure every completed asset is entirely compliant with stringent mining site regulations.
Secondary Trades: Utilize basic structural welding skills (highly desirable) to make minor adjustments or secure brackets during the final assembly stage.
Competetive Rates: A highly competitive base rate ranging between $45.00 to $49.00 per hour (dependent on experience), paid as a secure, permanent full-time position.
True Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a highly structured, predictable day-shift routine with zero mandatory overtime or weekend callouts.
Elite Workshop Culture: Work inside a cavernous, exceptionally neat, tidy, and organized warehouse environment alongside an elite team of technicians.
Real Career Longevity: This business is growing rapidly; you are entering at the perfect time to build a long-term career pathway as the floor team scales.
The Qualification: Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
The Mindset: Absolute attention to detail is paramount. You must be someone who takes genuine pride in the neatness, routing, and precision of your mechanical builds.
Technical Strengths: Strong experience dealing with rotating equipment, hydraulic hoses, pipework, and instrument integration.
The Edge: Solid structural welding capabilities are massively desirable and will put your application at the front of the queue.
